The handle is made of sturdy stainless steel, curved nicely to fit well in the shaver’s hand. Instead of the classic straight blade, the Parker SR1 uses replacement blades that securely lock into the blade head. Either single edge blades or a double edge replacement blade snapped in half fit perfectly, the shaving edge inexpensively renewed without the work or expense of stropping and honing a cutthroat blade.
